Can I be real with you?
I’ve done a lot of things — I’m talking everything from starting North Mississippi’s first pilates studio to a luxury athleisure retail store to a mobile wedding dress business (…yep.). Then there was the spray tan business, the online fitness method and a deep dive into real estate. None of this is counting the 6 years in makeup and skincare sales.
Are your eyes crossing yet?
Like I said — I’ve tried it all. To be honest with you, the lack of clarity around “what I do” became my biggest insecurity. It was the question I feared the most when I’d meet someone new. I felt like I was working my a** off but still couldn’t tell anyone what I was actually doing. More than anything, I was desperate to find my purpose.
In 2022, I left my sales career and, for the first time ever, had one singular job. My dad was leaving his 20+ year career as a college basketball coach and needed help making a shift from the court into the business world. The job was to develop the brand — and that was my sole focus.
GETTING HERE WASN'T EASY.
I realized that this is what I’ve been doing all along. And by the way, when I say brand, I’m not talking about your logo, colors or even your name. The work of developing your brand identity is deeper than those things by about a million layers ;) and it lays the foundation for everything else — visually, creatively and strategically.
So now, instead of a crippling insecurity, I see my work across so many industries as valuable insight to serve my clients. All along, there’s been an invisible string (hi, swifties!) of building brand identities and mapping out results-driven business strategy that has with worked really well, or taught me invaluable lessons that I can pass on to you.
